Caliber is committed to meeting the mortgage needs of those who serve and have served our country. And, our commitment is not limited to only our customers. As a Military Friendly Employer, we know that our commitment should show in what we do every day. For that reason, we recently created a Military & Veterans Resource Group (MVRG) at Caliber.
The mission of the MVRG is to give our military employees the opportunity to connect with each other. In addition, the MVRG will help these employees and their family members find military resources and veteran support services. The group will also provide networking, mentoring and career development opportunities for military employees.
The MVRG's impact will not stop there. The group will extend its impact by collaborating contagiously with other Caliber team members. The MVRG will engage employees who are interested in supporting military and veteran causes, involving them in outreach efforts. Efforts will include leading events such as Veteran’s Day activities and Caliber’s Military May.
Forming our MVRG is just one example of Caliber’s service to military families. For example, in recognition of our military support efforts, we were presented with the 2018 Pro Patria Award. The recognition came from the Employers Support of Guard and Reserve (ESGR) Committee in Austin, TX. The Pro Patria Award is the highest level award the ESGR State Committee can grant an employer. It honors employers for their support of the National Guard and Reserve. Caliber also recently received the Seven Seals Award. It is a prestigious honor given for support of the men and women who serve in the National Guard and Reserve.
