In 2020, Caliber Home Loans proudly began supporting the mission of Operation Homefront, a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving military families, through its Backpack Brigade initiative. This year, we once again supported the organization’s Backpack Brigade and successfully grew our impact greatly by raising $37,500 worth of backpacks for military kids across 10 states.

“One of the hallmark pillars of our military lending division is to educate through community engagement. What better way to live out this creed than to ensure our youth – who are the future --- receive all of the support they need at a young age? I couldn’t be prouder of the team’s effort for this initiative,” said Brittany Boccher, National Director of Military Engagement and Air Force veteran spouse.

The Operation Homefront team was beyond appreciative of the team’s efforts, too.

“I can’t say enough about the Caliber team in Dallas. They do not just collect backpacks and school supplies – they ask questions to understand how they can make a real impact for the families we serve,” said Robin Carter, Senior Director of Region 5 for Operation Homefront. “Each year, the support is personalized and it’s clear to the families how much the team at Caliber appreciate their support and sacrifice.”

Boccher echoed the “More than backpacks” sentiment.

“It’s a way to begin financial literacy and goal planning at a young age. It not only creates the foundation of skills they’ll need for success as adults but gives them confidence as they grow,” she added.

Operation Homefront noted in awe of the expansion Caliber brought to the 2021 Backpack Brigade.

“Operation Homefront’s back-to-school brigade program in the Dallas-Fort Worth area has expanded greatly over the last three years with the support of Caliber Home Loans,” Carter explained.

It’s a cause and partnership Caliber Home Loans hopes to continue to grow in the future.
