Caliber Honors Fallen Heroes

For the second year in a row, Caliber Home Loans gave our employees the opportunity to sponsor a memorial wreath for the 2019 National Wreaths Across America Day. Our Military & Veterans Resource Group chose Wreaths Across America for a companywide holiday service project as a natural expression of our commitment to military members, veterans, and their families. Every wreath sponsored by one of our employees was matched by Caliber.

The result? We sponsored over 1,300 wreaths which were used at Wreaths Across America’s wreath-laying ceremonies on December 19th. To recognize the number of wreaths employees donated to this organization, a paper wreath was added to the lobby wall of their location. Shown here is the wall at our national headquarters in Coppell, Texas.

The beginning of a Caliber holiday tradition

In 2018 we had employees participate in the wreath-laying ceremonies across the country, placing over 200 wreaths on graves in Arlington National Cemetery (VA), Dallas, Los Angeles, South Carolina, Delaware, and Arizona. In 2017, several Caliber employees participated in a similar event in Brentwood, Tennessee that honored fallen soldiers.

Wreaths Across America is a non-profit organization whose mission is to Remember our fallen U.S. veterans, Honor those who serve, and Teach children the value of freedom. This mission is carried out each December on National Wreaths Across America Day. Wreath-laying ceremonies are coordinated at Arlington National Cemetery, as well as at more than 1,600 additional locations in all 50 U.S. states, at sea, and abroad.
