Caliber Home Loans has proudly announced a new partnership with The Green Beret Foundation, the only benevolent nonprofit serving Special Forces Soldiers and their families.

Since the organization’s inception, it has provided over $15,000 million in support and served over 13,000 members and families.

Founded on the belief that America’s elite warfighters and quiet professionals deserve to be honored and supported in their time of need, the organization provides innovative programming and education. Part of that education is on their hard-earned VA Home Loan benefit, a topic that CHL is proud to take the lead in providing education on and raising awareness of.

The VA Home Loan program has helped over 24 million veterans since 1944. In 2018, fewer than 12 percent of eligible serve members were using the benefit and 33 percent weren’t even aware they qualified for it or what it entailed. Through an infinity relationship, CHL will not only fund vital initiatives that support our nation’s Special Forces Soldiers, but will also travel the country providing education to support the homebuying process.

“The fact that the Green Beret Foundation would even consider partnering with us is absolutely humbling and supporting their incredible mission of assisting Green Berets and their families is an honor,” said Bryan Bergjans, Navy Reserve Lt. Commander and Senior Vice President and National Director of Military Lending. “For our team, the priorities are education, community engagement and always doing the right thing for those who serve. With this partnership, we hope to be able to add value to the vital programming provided by the GBF, while standing in the gap for any needs which may arise.”

Our active-duty military and veterans may not have the sizable down payment or credit needed for a home loan. This is where the VA Home Loan can be a lifeline in the path to home ownership. The costs associated with closing are also lower, leading to more money in the pockets of those who serve or have served.

“Caliber Home Loans provides an important piece of the puzzle to our active duty and transitioning Green Berets and their families. Purchasing a home is such a nuanced process, particularly when utilizing the benefits of a VA home loan,” said Brent Cooper, Green Beret Foundation’s Executive Director and Green Beret veteran. “Partnering with an organization like Caliber Home Loans, who has the expertise to assist with every step of this specialized process, is a tremendous value-add to our community.”

The partnership announcement comes on the heels of CHL receiving the ESGR award and celebrating four straight years of recognition as a Military Friendly Brand ®. Through the military lending team’s continued support and investment into organizations like The Green Beret Foundation, CHL is on its way to maintaining its commitment to honoring those who serve. Every single day.
