Here at Caliber Home Loans, we don’t automatically sell our VA loans after they close. Instead, most of them are serviced by Caliber. This provides VA borrowers with a smoother transition and enables our Military Lending staff to continue their relationships with these borrowers.
Recently Bryan Bergjans, our National Director of Military and VA Lending, headed to Oklahoma City. During his visit, Bryan recognized Caliber’s veteran staff and met members of the Special Loans Department to discuss the Service members Civil Relief Act of 2003 (SCRA).
SCRA was designed to protect active duty personnel by providing them with important financial rights. Caliber’s Special Loans staff monitor these borrowers’ loans to make sure that their SCRA home financing rights – including preservation of lower interest rates and protection against foreclosure – are enforced.
Bryan presented Caliber Challenge Coins to several staff members and personally thanked them for their service. He also met with several teams, discussing Caliber’s ongoing VA mission and national trends seen with today’s VA customers.
He also gave a presentation that highlighted Caliber’s most recent awards and accolades, such as the Seven Seals Award from the Employer Support of the Guard & Reserve (ESGR).
