Caliber Loan Consultants Included on Magazine’s Annual List

Each year the National Mortgage Professional Magazine (NMP) presents its annual list of “The Best Military Lenders and Originators of 2018”. The list recognizes those who assist veterans in achieving their dreams of homeownership.

Caliber loan consultants made the list

This year, several Caliber loan originators were recognized for an exceptional year of diligently serving the men and women who sacrifice so much to protect our freedoms.

• Darren Corder – Newark, DE
• Rick Elmendorf – Fairfax, VA

Selections for the best military originators are based on the following:

• total VA loans closed by the originator in 2017,
• votes received from industry peers, and
• a brief write-up describing how the originator is committed to helping active service members and veterans.

Caliber equips its loan originators to help veterans

Caliber Home Loans is committed to our nation’s veteran and active military homebuyers. In 2016, Caliber's Military and Veteran Lending Professional (CMVLP) program was created. CMVLP is an in-house educational curriculum developed to prepare originators to meet the changing the needs of our military borrowers.

The goal of the program is to make sure military and veteran homebuyers feel confident that their CMVLP can guide them through the mortgage loan process.

How Loan Originators are CMVLP certified

Loan consultants are initially introduced to the program when they join Caliber. Afterward, CMVLP courses are made available to every loan originator within 48 hours of completing orientation. Loan consultants and branch managers earn Caliber’s CMVLP certification by taking the initial courses and committing to continued education.

Since the launch of the program, more than 1,000 team members have completed the CMVLP designation courses.
