On April 19th, Caliber Home Loans was proud to be the signature sponsor of the 4th annual VAREP Gala held by the Phoenix Chapter of the Veterans Association of Real Estate Professionals. Our very own Pat Diomede, President of the Phoenix Chapter and Caliber Loan Officer at the Goodyear/Peoria Branch, was the Master of Ceremonies for this event.
The annual gala is the largest fundraiser for the Phoenix chapter. From the silent auction table to the raffles, over $31,000 was raised. Guest speakers ranged from Congresswoman Krysten Synema, a champion for veteran causes, to Andrew Jones, founder of Operation Shockwave, which champions suicide prevention for veterans.
The USA Homeownership Foundation dba VAREP is a national non-profit whose mission is to increase sustainable homeownership, financial-literacy education, VA loan awareness, and economic opportunity for the active military and veteran communities. Thanks to the efforts of the chapters around the country, VAREP has been able to donate 25 mortgage-free homes to veterans in need. Two of the donated homes were located in the Phoenix Metropolitan area.
